This shell is extremely rare to find, only one single top has been made.
Conus striatus oahuensis; also known as the Hawaiian Striated cone shell. Not to be mistaken for Conus striatus which looks anlmost identical and is found here and throughout the pacific as well.
This specific shell is endemic to Hawai’i, meaning it is found no where else in the world. It is one of three highly venomous species (and only venomous endemic species) found in Hawai’i, its sting is very dangerous and potentially fatal. .
Each cone shell is handpicked on the island of Hawai’i by the designer where she then cleans, cuts and sands down the shell before attaching it to the top. The suit its self is made up of regenerated Italian fabric made from recycled material and features thick shoulder straps with adjustable back ties and for a more supportive fit.
